In July 2018, PCC led a delegation of 260 U.S. educators and students on an enriching 8-day cultural exchange program to China, featuring visits to renowned institutions such as Hengshui High School, Zhengding High School, and Tsinghua University. This immersive experience provided American participants with a deeper understanding of China’s educational system while fostering meaningful connections with their Chinese peers through academic collaboration and cultural exploration.

Throughout the summer camp, Chinese and American students engaged in vibrant language and cultural exchanges, creating a dynamic environment for mutual learning. While Chinese students honed their English-speaking skills, they also took on the role of cultural ambassadors, introducing their American counterparts to Chinese idioms, classical poetry, and Mandarin. These interactions not only bridged cultural divides but also cultivated a spirit of cross-cultural integration and friendship.

A highlight of the program was the signing of a memorandum of understanding between De Anza High School and its Chinese partner schools, formally establishing sister-school relationships. This milestone laid the groundwork for future educational collaboration and long-term partnerships, further solidifying the ties between the two nations.
