2019 China Student Ambassador Program

July 12, 2019 – August 2, 2019

In July 2019, PCC successfully organized a two-week cultural exchange program for nearly 150 U.S. teachers and students, who embarked on an enriching journey to Beijing, Linfen, and Anshan. This immersive experience allowed participants to delve into the heart of Chinese culture through hands-on activities in traditional arts, calligraphy, martial arts, and more, offering a vibrant tapestry of cultural discovery.

The program’s core mission was to foster mutual understanding between Chinese and American youth, creating a dynamic platform for sharing cultural and educational perspectives. In Beijing, participants visited prestigious universities, where they engaged in thought-provoking academic discussions and cultural exchanges with Chinese students and faculty. These dialogues spanned a wide range of topics, from educational philosophies and academic research to cultural differences, providing invaluable insights and fostering mutual respect.

The visits to Linfen and Anshan offered U.S. students a profound appreciation of China’s rich history, cultural heritage, and social development. Through guided tours, interactive workshops, and meaningful local engagements, participants experienced the unique traditions and modern transformations of these regions. These activities not only deepened their understanding of China’s diverse cultural landscape but also highlighted the nation’s ongoing progress and innovation.

This multifaceted program served as a bridge between cultures, broadening the horizons of U.S. participants while strengthening the bonds of friendship and collaboration between China and the United States.
